Redleaf Japanese Maple

A seedling form of Japanese red maple. Highly valued for its flexibility in the landscape. The color and form make Japanese maples magnificent specimens and accent plants. Also attractive in the shrub border and widely used as bonsai. Prefers a moist yet well-drained soil, high in organic matter. Protect from wind and late spring frost as young foliage is cold sensitive. Dappled shade is best.

When I shopped at Zehr’s I was greeted by a worker with the friendly, “Is there anything I can help you with?” greeting and then escorted to the area where the specific shrub I was looking for was located. It saved me time and I greatly appreciated that!

Zehr’s has a wonderful, reasonably priced assortment of garden plants and the staff is friendly and helpful. I’m already planning on going back next spring.
