Myrica pensylvanica
Waxy, blue-gray berries in fall and winter. Will grow in shade or sun. Grows in poor soils, prefers sandy well-drained soil. Berries used to make bayberry candles. Fruit occurs on female plants only. Need both male and female plants for fruit.
