Botanical Name: Chasmanthium latifoliumA clumping, deciduous grass with rich, bamboo-like foliage that reaches a height of 2-3'. The drooping, flat flower spikes are a pretty green in the summer and will mature to copper late in autumn while the foliage takes on lovely coppery brown tones. Northern Sea Oats is one of the few ornamental grasses that will tolerate some shade, preferring a part shade site. Not particularly fast growing, it will benefit from regular division every few years.
