Apricot - Prunus armeniaca, one of the original fruits, Genesis 2:9
Barley - Hardeum vulgare, Barley loaves and 2 fishes, 5000 were fed, John 6:9
Cattail - Typhea australis, Moses’ mom hid him in a basket, Exodus 2:3
Chicory - Cichorium intybus, the bitter herbs of the Passover meal, Exodus 12:8
Cumin (black love in a mist) - Nigella sativa, It was beaten with a rod, Isiah 28:27
Shasta Daisy – Chrysanthemum sp. , Solomon decorated the temple, 1 Kings 6:21
Endive - Chicorium endive, God’s people remember the exodus at the seder, Num 9:11
Hyssop - Hyssopus officianalis, blood of the lamb is sprinkled by, Ex 12:21-22
Lupines - LupiniusXrussele, the rich will disappear like flowers, James 1:9-10
Hardy mum - Chrysanthemum sp., the flower of humility, 1 James 9-10
Rugosa rose – Rosa rugosa, God’s word grows like the rose in Jericho-Wisdom 24:14
Silver mound – Artemisia sp. , John’s vision sees the star fall(the star is called wormwood) which means the water turned bitter. Revelations 8:11
Globe thistle – Echinops viscosus, the people of Sucoth refused to feed Gideon and his troops, and so he trample the people on the thorns, Judges 8:7
Grape vine – vitis vinifera, I am the vine, you are the branches…my Father will remove un fruitful vines and also prune productive wood, John 15:1-2
Watermelon – Citrullus lanataxX garden baby, The Jewish people remember the fruits back in Egypt before the Exodus, Numbers 11:5
Wllow – Salix alba, Willows on the rivers of Babylon where they hung their harps, how could we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land, Psalm 137
